Palak starts his third term from Secretariat

Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technology, will start the duties as the state minister for the third term by serving in the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications as on the second day. Instead of the ICT tower; He will exchange views with the officials of the department and its subordinate offices and organizations in the conference room of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications (Building-7, Fourth Floor) at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday at 9 am. At the same time, the state minister will also greet the top leaders of three organizations of this sector, TRNB, BIJF and TMGB.

In the first cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister met State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak. Information and Broadcasting Minister Mohammad A Arafat is in the same row with all the members of the Cabinet.

At the beginning of the second term, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry Md. Shefayet Hossain has confirmed that he is starting the activities after receiving the responsibility of the state minister for Posts and Telecommunications. After that he can go to the ICT tower of Agargaon around noon. However, Shahidul Alam Majumdar, Public Relations Officer of ICT Division, did not confirm that schedule.

In 2002, the name of the Ministry of ‘Science and Technology’ was changed to ‘Ministry of Science and Information and Communication Technology. And in 2009, Zunaid Ahmed Palak was elected as the youngest Member of Parliament at the age of 33. Then on February 10, 2014, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology were merged. In the same year, he was re-appointed as the state minister of this Ministry. On January 2, 2017, Mustafa Jabbar took charge of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology when he was the BASIS President. In the next term, after assuming the duties of the second minister from January 7, 2019, Mustafa Jabbar was removed only to post and telecommunication on May 19 of that year. Since then, Zunaid Ahmed Palak has been serving the responsibility of ICT Division all by himself. Then last year, when Mustafa Jabbar resigned as a technocrat minister, the Prime Minister assigned the responsibility of this division to Zunaid Ahmed Palak.
